The construction and running of buildings consumes a significant amount of material and energy.
The same material and energy can create good or bad buildings.
Fundamental to sustainable practice is investing time in the consideration of how the energy and materials are used. Poor consideration results in buildings that are badly planned. These buildings have low value and end up being demolished and replaced. Good consideration results in buildings that are well planned, enjoyed and valued long-term.
We owe it to our future generations to use resources in the environment with care.
